Yahoo Allyship Pledge

In the wake of the 2020 racial justice movement, the team at Yahoo wanted to leverage their platform in support of the Black community and share messages of antiracism with their audience of over 800 million unique monthly site visitors.

OUR PROCESS

GOOD WORX partnered with Yahoo to build the Yahoo Allyship Pledge, an immersive platform that drives understanding of racial injustice in America, which outlines steps towards an equitable future.

GOOD WORX developed compelling video and editorial content featuring Black activists and experts and produced by an all-Black creative team. Partners included the ACLU, Color of Change, Dr. Cornel West, Nicole Cardoza, Jamira Burley,  Frederick Joseph, and more.

The resulting videos are featured on Yahoo’s new allyship hub and were shared on the media giant’s social media platforms (2M+ followers). 50 influencers, selected by partner Kindred, were invited to attend seven live events curated by GOOD WORX, where program content was brought to life through insightful speakers, pivotal breakout conversations and reeducation about race in America.

Through the Allyship Pledge, GOOD WORX helped Yahoo equip its audience– influencers and everyday users alike– to embark on their own allyship journeys and share antiracism with their communities, both large and small.
